Did a nice leisure drive up on Angeles Crest today. The goal was to see snow. Mission accomplished.

What a different looking place with all the snow! Crazy how you only had to travel like an hour from LA and then there you are in a winter Wonderland.

The roads are insane out here on weekends. Everyone is trying to get to the snow.

Exactly why I love it up there it doesn’t really feel like LA even though its practically next to it. It’s the first time I’ve actually touched snow in California.

It’s all about timing. I went around 4 there were two cars holding up me, my brother and this sonic and they didn’t know how to use the turn outs but they all turned off at the first ski area (?) before Mt. Wilson and from there on we were free and clear the entire way all the way past Newcombs. We ended up turning around when the road signs mentioned chains. We also had no traffic on the way back down but the traffic going the other way was really bad. I guess we got really lucky considering it was Friday.

Yeah I am hoping this is not a rare event in the future. I plan to be moving to SoCal in the next year or so and I love snow. Thankfully Colorado is a short flight away from there at least!
